SOLUTIONS CORPORATE HERITAGE
The BAE Systems Colorado Springs Office
has gone through several corporate level
changes since we established a permanent
presence in Colorado Springs. The Mission
Solutions division has a proud heritage
that started with General Dynamics Electronics
and has evolved into a valuable component
of BAE Systems.
Our consolidation with ever more impressive
business organizations is a testament
to our corporate worth. Fortunately our
operation has remained constant during
these changes, ensuring its continuing
ability to provide the best products and
services.
COLORADO
SPRINGS OPERATIONS HISTORY
CSO originated with a single BAE SYSTEMS
(then GDE Systems) engineer that participated
in the team that bid for the TBMCS project.
After we won the contract, a core group
of engineers and trainers arrived in Colorado
Springs in January 1996 to complete early
work on the TBMCS effort.
BAE SYSTEMS demonstrated the advantages
of using Computer Based Training on TBMCS,
and was asked to take the lead in that
area. Other employees were tasked with
completing TBMCS architecture and creating
the configuration management system. As
our reputation for excellence grew on
the TBMCS contract, so did our size. Establishing
a permanent operation in Colorado Springs
became possible because our growing pool
of talented employees. In May 1999, we
opened our own office to design work on
other programs in Colorado Springs.
