6. In the  "New Connection Wizard"  window, type a local phone number* from our Location Number List. Do not include the area code.  Then click "Next >" *If you wish to test the phone number to insure it is a local call, use your phone to dial it without the area code. If successful, you will hear modem noises.

  

7. In the  "New Connection Wizard"  window, under  "Type a name you want for this connection," type the word citystar  in small letters. Then click the  "Finish" button.

  

8. In the "CityStar® Settings" window, under "Dial-up settings," type your dial-up user name  and password.  (Remember, both of these are case sensitive.) Then click on the "Properties" button.

  

9. In the  "CityStar® Properties"  window, click on the  "Advanced" tab.

  

10. In the  "CityStar® Properties"  window, on the  "Advanced" tab, under  "Internet Connection Firewall," click on the check box next to "Protect my computer..."  then click the "OK" button.

Congratulations! You are now set up to connect to the Internet with CityStar! Simply launch your browser to connect.
